About the Caroline Family Health Team

The Caroline Family Health Team (C-FHT) is a leader in the provision of primary health care in Burlington and the surrounding communities.  A Family Health Team is a new way of providing primary care using a team approach.  The team brings together family doctors with interdisciplinary health care providers to coordinate the best possible care for patients.  Everyone on the team enjoys working together to meet your needs.  Our focus is on keeping you and your family healthy not just treating you when you are sick.  

Newly funded as a Family Health Team in 2007, the C-FHT brings together 10 physicians and a team of interdisciplinary health providers through two major sites.  

The Caroline Medical Group (CMG) site houses 8 physicians who have worked together as a team for many years.  There is a wonderful staff of approximately 40 (including reception, business office, nurse practitioners, nursing, social workers, a pharmacist, a dietitian, and health service assistants) at this site.  

In addition, CFHT includes 2 physicians, Doctors Jason Murdoch and Vance Pegado, who work as solo practitioners in the community and are currently growing their practices. 

All CFHT physicians have privileges at the local hospital, Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, and most provide teaching to medical residents from McMaster University and/ or University of Toronto.
