PLEASE NOTE:  Travel advice is not a benefit of the government health insurance (OHIP). The Family Health Team will issue a charge for travel advice and the administration of travel vaccines.
  • The Public Health Agency of Canada website provides up to date reports on outbreaks and good advice on avoiding travelers’ illnesses. You will find good advice about travelers’ diarrhea on these sites.
  • Halton Region Health Department Travel Health Services operates Travel Clinic on a fee-for-service basis. An appointment is required and it is recommended that it is booked around the same time as you book your trip and at least one month in advance of the trip.  The Region’s website provides more information.
  • The Center for Disease Control and Prevention provides information for U.S. travelers to worldwide destinations.  The site provides advice by destination of your travel.
